Suspension at the account level

Merchant Center account suspended? We will find the cause and prepare recovery

We will review the notification and check the website, product data, settings and account history. We will fix the confirmed discrepancies and run a control before requesting a review.

Direct answer

What a Merchant Center account suspension means

This is a restriction at the account level, not an error of a single product. Products may stop appearing in free listings and shopping ads until the applicable issue is fixed and Google completes the review. We read the exact scope in the notification.

01

An account-level issue

The review affects the store, settings, data or compliance with the rules as a whole.

02

Product impressions are limited

Products may be disabled for the affected program or country of sale.

03

A verifiable result is needed

Before contacting Google the causes must be fixed and the changes published and verified.

Important: a Merchant Center suspension does not always mean the entire Google account is suspended. We check the exact status and related restrictions separately.

First we determine the format

Whether the service fits your case

Based on the notification we separate account recovery from a local product error, a technical setting and restrictions of another service.

Suitable

The whole account is restricted

  • there is a warning or a suspension at the account level;
  • products stopped appearing all at once;
  • the notification does not reveal the exact cause;
  • a review has already been rejected;
  • an audit, fixes and control are needed.

A different format

We will check the exact source

  • one product or attribute is disapproved;
  • only the data upload does not work;
  • Google Business Profile or Google Ads is restricted;
  • identity verification is not completed;
  • the website is temporarily unavailable or infected.

We do not take on

We do not help bypass a review

  • a new account instead of fixes;
  • fake documents or identity;
  • hidden swapping of the website and data;
  • counterfeit and prohibited products;
  • concealing the history of restrictions.

We check it as one system

What we check after a suspension

We choose only the applicable checks. For each conclusion we keep the source, the actual value and a criterion of readiness.

Before requesting a review

How we build account recovery

We do not submit a request blindly. First we record the initial status, resolve the confirmed causes and only then assess readiness.

Full recovery process
  1. We save the notification

    We record the text, date, country, programs and available actions.

  2. We define the area of the review

    We separate policy, data quality, verification and related restrictions.

  3. We run diagnostics

    We compare the website, products, settings and the actual purchase path.

  4. We fix and verify

    We make the agreed changes, repeat scenarios and keep evidence.

  5. We confirm readiness

    A request is submitted only when it is available and the applicable scope is complete.

A verifiable result

You understand what was found and what to do next

Instead of general advice, you keep a set from which you can make the changes and verify readiness.

Map of causes and evidence

What was checked, where a risk was found and what confirms the conclusion.

Fix plan

Priority, owner, dependency and acceptance criterion.

Readiness status

What is complete, which risks are open and whether a review can be requested.

You can prepare now

What to keep before the first review

Five inputs let us quickly understand the status and do not require sharing passwords or documents.

For diagnostics

  • store address;
  • country of sale;
  • the store platform;
  • text or a screenshot of the notification;
  • the date and result of previous reviews.

Before recording the history

Do not complicate the initial picture

Do not create a new account, do not delete the whole catalog and do not submit a new request just to test the result.

First we save the status and determine which changes are truly needed.

Frequently asked questions

What is important to know before you start

Short answers about the status, a review, access and the result.

Ask about a suspension
What does a Merchant Center account suspension mean?

This is a restriction at the account level: products may stop appearing in free listings and shopping ads. We look at the exact scope, the affected countries and the required actions in the notification and in the “Needs attention” section.

How does an account suspension differ from a product disapproval?

With a disapproval the issue relates to a single product or a group of products. An account suspension affects the whole account or its operation in a specific country and requires checking the website, data, settings and the history of actions.

Should I request a review right away?

No. If the issue is applicable, first the confirmed discrepancies are fixed and the published result is verified. A request without control can end in a rejection and a waiting period.

Where can I find the cause of the suspension?

Check Google's email, the banner on the Merchant Center home page and the “Needs attention” section with settings and policy violations. The notification may point to a category, so the specific cause sometimes has to be established through diagnostics.

What if the review button is unavailable?

Check whether identity verification is required, whether the product is in the data source and whether a waiting period applies. Google does not allow support to shorten the waiting period.

What access will you need?

For the first review the store address, the country of sale, the platform, the text of the notification and the review history are enough. Access is requested later, only through user roles or a temporary account. We do not accept passwords or two-factor authentication codes.

Can account recovery be guaranteed?

No. MerchantRevive is responsible for the agreed scope of diagnostics, fixes and evidence control. Google determines the final decision and the review timeline.

How long does Google's review take?

Google states that a review can take up to seven business days. The actual time depends on the type of issue, additional checks and the waiting period; MerchantRevive does not set this time.
